In Tanzania’s Iringa district, women weave the Iringa basket by hand using a talent that has been passed down through the years. The region’s abundant and untamed milulu grass is employed. For this specific one, the entire basket was woven using strands dyed auburn.

Despite being traditional, these baskets’ practicality and design are always in fashion.

They work well as a striking planter, lovely storage basket, kitchen organizer, or piece of boho decor.

Traditionally, the mothers of the bridesmaids gave them sisal baskets at the wedding ceremony.
